Our Mission:

The Bigfork Emergency Volunteers:

• Create an awareness of the potential for any emergency in our community;
• Organize and train community members to assist emergency personnel.

We have a community plan to address not only the original concerns of possible flooding, but also other emergencies and devastating occurrences including earthquakes, windstorms and fires. This plan can be executed by community members to assess quickly what and where the needs are.

Our community knows and understands our plan. We are trained to assist emergency responders, and to care for ourselves and our neighbors, should emergency personnel be unable to reach us for any reason.

We continue to update our skills on an ongoing basis so that we will always be ready.

We provide access to emergency information, with quick links to other organizations (See right-hand column), and with our own informational articles (See News tab).

We will also post emergency alerts and update them with current status in timely manner (See News tab).
